I’m Liz Harris, founder of Harris & Helm—a marketing company built specifically for marine businesses. Inspired by a lifetime of summers spent on Sodus Bay with my family, it’s where my passion for boating, community, and connection took root and steadily grew into the foundation for the work I do today.

As I got older, my passion turned into a career path. I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee— a major center for the boating industry—where I gained hands-on experience working alongside industry pros and learning what makes impactful marine marketing effective. This helped shape the creative, results-driven approach I bring to every project.

I knew my next step wasn’t somewhere new—it was bringing my skills back home to a place I believe in. Returning to Upstate NY, I saw a strong opportunity to support the marinas, dealerships, and marine businesses that define the Finger Lakes. This area gave me so much growing up, and I’m proud to give back by helping local businesses thrive.

Whether I’m designing campaigns or working closely with clients, I approach every challenge with passion and purpose. At just 54 hours old, I was already aboard my parents’ sailboat on Sodus Bay— my first stop before home, and the first step in a direction I never stopped following. That’s the spirit behind Harris & Helm: grounded in experience, powered by instinct, and driven with both hands at the helm.
